Tanglewood, located in the
beautiful Berkshires, is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
The Tanglewood Jazz Festival is the BSO’s final festival for the summer
season 2005. What a way to end the summer!
As the signature artist for
the Tanglewood Jazz Festival this year, I had the
pleasure of delivering this commissioned portrait to Harry Connick Jr.
Harry and I had a wonderful
chat backstage and he was just bowled over with his portrait. The oil
painting took over 4 months to create and I must admit that I was very
relieved with his reaction. This young man is one of those gracious
southern gentlemen. Down to earth, a fabulous sense of humor and
incredibly handsome, Harry Connick Jr. is...simply put, a pleasure to be
around.
