Cape
Cod is famous for it's beautiful window boxes.
After a long New England winter,
those of us who live on the Cape are ready for a real splash of color. Window
boxes in the Falmouth area have become a sort of local art form. Each person
creates a different floral canvas, some bright with reds, blues and orange and
some with soft pink geraniums. I particularly liked this one for it's
simple pallet of pink and lavender. Cheryl's lovely rendition of a classic Cape
Cod window box was photographed by my friend Stanton Terrell, who generously
allowed me to use this fine image as a reference for this painting.
